I'm a amateur wannabe photographer. I write my own recipes, I style my own food, but one thing I don't do very well is take my own photos. If its a sunny day, I rely on daylight, say a prayer and use my limited photography knowledge. My fellow food blogger and friend Miriam from OvertimeCook takes all her own photos and she understands more photography jargon than the spices I have in my pantry. So when I heard that Miriam was visiting in my area, I pulled out my camera and lights and invited her to dinner. Well, more like to teach me to take better pictures of dinner.

The best place to find inspiration for dinner is from recipes posted by members of CookKosher. I loved the sound of Oven Roasted Mustard Potatoes and decided to make it that evening.

Looking through the reviews I tweaked the recipe based on what other members wrote. I reduced the oil to 2 tablespoons oil, and used a little less mayonnaise and mustard. I cubed the potatoes and tossed it to a 9x13 inch pan to bake. By the time Miriam showed up we were ready to shoot these beauties.
