I made this tonight and it looks awesome. I'm afraid to taste it since I'm avoiding sugar and flour, but I'm waiting for hubby to come home and give his opinion. My 13-yr old son said it was "good" (he isn't a big sweets fan -- I wonder how we are related?), but he didn't think the coffee was necessary. I wanted to add one comment that the amount of strussel was three times too much! Now I have so much left over that I'll have to make two more batches :) I'll try to report back on hubby's comments.
I have a wonderful babka recipe handed down from my grandmother. I actually had to observe her making it and write down the recipe as we went because she had no idea of the measurements. It's a more complicated recipe because you have to fold in the margarine by hand, almost like a croissant dough. Love the simplicity of your dough. Bookmarking this to try soon. Thanks, Leah!
This is a great recipe! To really make this quick and easy, you can roll up the roll jelly roll fashion and then cut them into thick slices. Lay them in a muffin pan and sprinkle the streusel on top. Bake and you have neat and ready minis. The video was awesome! Very easy directions. Thanks!
