INGREDIENTS













  • - Dough:










  • 5 lb + 2 cups Flour










  • 4 oz Yeast










  • 1 Tbsp Salt










  • 1 cup Sugar










  • 2 Vanilla Sugar










  • 8 Eggs










  • 3 cup Water










  • 1 cup Apple Juice










  • 4 Sticks Margarine










  • 2 cup Oil










  • - Filling:










  • 6 cup Sugar










  • 3 cup cocoa










  • 3 tsp Cinnamon










  • 1¾ cup Confection sugar










  • 2 Vanilla sugar










  • - Topping:










  • ¼ (4 oz) Stick Margarine










  • ¼ cup Flour










  • ¼ cup Sugar










  1. Mix the first 10 ingredients in the mixer on medium for 15 minutes. Let rise in bowl for 10 - 15 minutes and take challah. Punch down and divide in 6.



  2. Mix the next five ingredients for the cocoa mixture, and use approximately 12 TBSP cocoa mix per babka. I use a medium loaf pan.



  3. Egg the babka. Take last 3 ingredients to create a crumb for topping, and sprinkle.



  4. Bake on 350 for 1 hour or until golden brown
