This makes a great spread on challah, especially warm on Friday night. It's the easiest thing to make and looks so special. Guests love it and are always impressed!
1 head of garlic
- olive oil
- optional: italian seasoning
Cut the top off of the garlic to expose a tiny bit of the tops of the cloves
Place on a piece of aluminum foil.
Drizzle olive oil over the top of the garlic. Let it run down the sides a little, but it shouldn't be drowning.
Sprinkle with salt and italian seasoning (optional)
Wrap the sheet of foil around it. Place in oven at 350 F for about an hour and a quarter.
Keep warm until serving. To eat, break off one clove and squeeze the soft inside onto a piece of challah.
