This makes a great spread on challah, especially warm on Friday night. It's the easiest thing to make and looks so special. Guests love it and are always impressed!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 head of garlic

  • - olive oil

  • - salt

  • - optional: italian seasoning

  1. Cut the top off of the garlic to expose a tiny bit of the tops of the cloves

  2. Place on a piece of aluminum foil.

  3. Drizzle olive oil over the top of the garlic. Let it run down the sides a little, but it shouldn't be drowning.

  4. Sprinkle with salt and italian seasoning (optional)

  5. Wrap the sheet of foil around it. Place in oven at 350 F for about an hour and a quarter.

  6. Keep warm until serving. To eat, break off one clove and squeeze the soft inside onto a piece of challah.
