This simple secret makes regular brownies delightfully soft and fudgy!

INGREDIENTS













  • 2 eggs










  • 1 cup sugar










  • ½ cup flour










  • ½ cup oil










  • ⅓ cup cocoa powder










  • ¼ tsp salt










  • ¼ tsp baking powder










  • 1 tsp vanilla extract










  • ½ cup chocolate chips and/or nuts (optional)










  1. Mix all ingredients with a fork or beaters.



  2. Pour into greased 8" square pan.



  3. Bake at or below 325 F for around 45 minutes. Do not overbake.
    This is the secret: the original recipe wanted 350 degrees for 30 minutes. But my oven is crabby and won't always heat up. I noticed that when that happened, my brownies took longer to bake but were amazingly soft and chewy!




  4. Note: Either using a toothpick or by taking a sample from the middle, make sure the brownies are NOT raw. When done, they will be baked through, just softer and gooier than usual.
