This recipe is delicious for Shabbos.
1 cup water
1 cup vinegar
1 cup sugar
¼ cup sugar
½ cup water
½ cup mayonnaise
½ cup ketchup
½ cup vinegar
6 slices of salmon
6 bay leaves
Boil the water, vinegar, sugar and onion in a pot.
Add the salmon and add a bay leaf per slice. Lower the flame and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from flame and place in a container.
Combine the smaller amounts of sugar, water, mayonnaise, ketchup and vinegar. Pour this sauce over the fish.
Allow the fish to marinate over night before serving.
