Easy homemade marinara recipe for the slow-cooker.

INGREDIENTS













  • 4 (28 oz) cans crushed tomatoes










  • 1 (12 oz) cans tomato paste










  • 2-3 yellow onions, diced










  • 6 garlic cloves, crushed










  • 2 Tbsp olive oil










  • 3 bay leaves










  • 2 Tbsp dried basil










  • 1 Tbsp dried oregano










  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar










  • 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar










  1. (optional) Sautee the onions in the olive oil until translucent.



  2. Combine everything in the slow cooker, stirring well to combine.



  3. Cook on low for 8 hours, stirring every once in a while if desired.




  4. Remove bay leaves. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
