Easy homemade marinara recipe for the slow-cooker.
4 (28 oz) cans crushed tomatoes
1 (12 oz) cans tomato paste
2-3 yellow onions, diced
6 garlic cloves, crushed
2 Tbsp olive oil
3 bay leaves
2 Tbsp dried basil
1 Tbsp dried oregano
2 Tbsp brown sugar
2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
(optional) Sautee the onions in the olive oil until translucent.
Combine everything in the slow cooker, stirring well to combine.
Cook on low for 8 hours, stirring every once in a while if desired.
Remove bay leaves. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
