a favorite Sunday night dinner which makes kids and adults happy! The amounts are basically personal, some people like it more ketchup-y, more sweet, more onion-y.. so adapt it to your liking..
1 pack hot dogs- sliced
3 large onions
1 cup ketchup
Â½ cup brown sugar
2 baguettes- toasted with oil, and garlic
slice onions in half circles and saute till translucent. lower heat, and let them really caramelize, stirring often.
toast your baguettes with garlic and oil, and have them ready.
add sliced hot dogs, let it cook for 10 minutes while stirring often.
add ketchup and brown sugar, and mix well, on low heat, till the color darkens and syrup bubbles.
pour mixture into baguettes and enjoy!
