Deliciously great, versatile soup! Great for winter nights.
4 Brown Onions
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
4 Cloves Garlic, minced
5 cup Water
4 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tsp Thyme
1 pinch Salt, to taste
1 pinch Pepper, to taste
Slice onions thinly into moon shaped peices. Place in soup pot with olive oil and garlic, over medium flame and carmelize, approximately for 1/2 hour.
Pour water over onions and bring to a boil.
Add seasonings and simmer for 30 min.
Enjoy! optional: top with your favorite cheese and croutons.
