This is more a method than an actual recipe. Yields perfectly textured rice every time.
1 cup raw rice
2 cup cold water
Place rice in smaill pot. Cover with water. Place on high flame until water boils. At this point, you can add salt and other seasonings.
Cover pot with lid. Lower flame to medium. Let cook for five minutes. Do not stir while rice cooking. After five minutes, water should be mostly absorbed. (If it hasn't, let cook an additional minute).
Lower flame to low. Let cook for additional five minutes. Again, do not stir. After five minutes, close flame and let rice rest for five minutes before uncovering pot. Lift lid and fluff your perfectly cooked rice with a fork.
