This has such a buttery taste to it, but you can make it parve or dairy! Perfect for a winter dinner or Shabbos soup!

INGREDIENTS













  • 2 Tbsp Butter or Margerine










  • 1 LArge Onion, diced










  • 8 Cloves of GArlic, diced










  • 6 Potatoes, cubed










  • 1 Tbsp Salt










  • 1 tsp Pepper










  • 1 tsp Parsley Flakes










  • 1 tsp Garlic POwder










  • 1 Water to cover










  1. Melt butter in a large saute pan. Add onion and garlic and saute until caramel color.



  2. Add potatoes and saute for about 2 minutes, then add water and spices.



  3. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to medium-low for about 15-20 minutes.



  4. Blend soup, but keep a bit of chunks to it and cook for another 15-20 minutes.
