extreme flavor with few ingredients! tasty, tangy, sweet, crunchy and nutty salad. you can make the dressing a day ahead just remember to let it sit out and come to room temp before serving. you can alter the amount of sugar to your liking..you can always add more. you can add whatever you want to the base of the salad.. mandarin orange slices, cucumbers, tomatoes..or you can add nothing! simple and always enjoyed.
1 large bag mixed greens lettuce
1 pack galil oriental ramen noodles
½ cup canola oil
3 Tbsp white vinegar
¼ cup white sugar
1 handful slivered toasted almonds
1 handful sunflower seeds
take out seasoning pack from ramen noodles and put noodles into ziplock baggie to smash. set noodles aside.
mix oil, vinegar, sugar and contents of seasoning pack. let sit in fridge for a few hours but take out to room temp prior to dressing salad.
when ready, assemble mixed greens in bowl. add almonds and sunflower seeds. add dressing when ready to serve.
