Apple turnovers are flakey dough triangles filled with an apple mixture. This is the best mixture I have. Scoop a tablespoon into flakey squares. Fold in a triangles. Seal edges and bake.

INGREDIENTS













  • 1 cup sugar










  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch (diluted in a drop of water)










  • 2 tsp lemon juice










  • ½ tsp cinnamon










  • 4 cortland apples










  1. Peel and thinly sliced the apples.



  2. Add all ingredients together in a pot.



  3. Cook on a low flame until thick and syrupy.

I made this! just added some vanilla to the mixture!! so much more delicious than canned fillings! and I just used whatever apples i had on hand!
