A very light and fluffy butter loaf cake with a subtle hint of caramel hidden somewhere in it. Delicious with or without the caramel chips, this is a perfect Shvuos cake for milchige kiddush.
1 lb container butter
2 cup sugar
1 lb sour cream
3 Tbsp vanilla sugar
4 cup flour
4 tsp baking powder
3 Tbsp caramel chips (optional)
Preheat oven to 350^. Blend the butter & sugar.
Add the rest.
Grease 2 medium size loaf pans. For each pan, pour half the batter into loaf pan, sprinkle some caramel chips, cover with other half of batter. Bake for 45 minutes. test with toothpick if comes out clean. Cool. Sprinkle confection sugar over top before serving.
