It's a cake that is good for every occasion. It looks beautiful out of a bundt pan and tastes fantastic. Just be careful to guard it well because every person who passes it will chip away from it till there is not a crumb. Top it with icing or confectionary sugar. By the way it is really an easy recipe

INGREDIENTS













  • 8 eggs










  • 2 cup sugar










  • 2 cup flour










  • 1 vanilla sugar










  • 1 tsp baking powder










  • ¾ cup orange juice










  • ½ cup oil










  1. Separate the eggs. Add the whites in a mixer and mix until a snow forms



  2. Add the sugar and yolks gradually



  3. Add the rest of the ingredients



  4. spray bunt pan very well pour in the mixture. Make sure not to fill the pan more than 3/4 or it will overflow.



  5. bake on 350 for 45 min to an hour and test with a cake tester to see if it comes out clean

After reading the last review, I was hesitant to bake this, however, I made this cake today and opened it while still warm. Within 10 minutes, half the cake was eaten. Hid the rest for after the fast. The eggs whites have to be stiff before you add anything else. Also I find that when you do not over mix these kind of cakes, they bake beautifully-high and light. I added the ingredients quickly and gave it a few spins in the mixer. So to Leah-whoever you are- try this again because I've tried many such recipes and this is the tastiest, smoothest, lightest cake by far. Love the recipe!

i made this cake for shabbos, didnt have much time and it looked easy to make. It was good but was a little overated!! Dont get me wrong it wasnt bad but I expected better since it had such a high rating.

 

Absolutely love the cake.

Easy, very tasty and before I knew it, the cake was gone; that is the best compliment. I will bake this all the time. I might try this is mini bunt pans for an unusual display when I am serving a brunch for guests.

I have eaten many cakes but this one is my favorite. Whenever I want to make a cake for myself or for someone else, I always fall back on this one. It is just simple, beautiful and heaven
