This sponge cake is light and simple to make. The 2 things I like about this recipe are; it doesn't use so many eggs and there are an equal amount of whites and yolks so there are no yolks to use up after making this cake.
7 eggs, separated
1.5 cup flour
1.5 cup sugar
1.5 tsp baking powder
6 Tbsp orange juice
Combine flour, sugar and baking powder. Set aside.
Beat egg white until bubbly, add yolks 1 at a time.
Add the flour and sugar mixture. Mix.
Add the orange juice and mix again.
Bake in a tube pan @ 350 for 1 hour.
