20 Face Cookies
20 3.5 inch, round sugar cookies
Â½ cup Strawberry Jam
- Red and Blue coloured Icing (fondant)
- Melted Chocolate
- White icing pen
Dip the top end of the cookie in the melted chocolate to form the shape of the Yarmulka. Be careful when doing the next step, since the chocolate may still be soft.
Heat the jam in the microwave for 30 sec or until it starts to bubble. Stir it well to soften any lumps. With a knife spread some jam on one side of the bissli and place it on the cookie for the payot. Hold it down for several seconds. Repeat with other side payot.
Using blue icing roll into tiny balls for the eyes. You can buy pre-coloured icing or alternatively color the icing yourself with food colouring. The red icing you use to form the mouth. The jam is used as the glue to place them in position on the face.
With a white icing pen you can draw the lines on the Yarmulka and you could also write on the chocolate the birthday boy's initial.
