INGREDIENTS













  • 5 cucumbers, thinly sliced










  • 2 onions, thinly sliced










  • - salt, for soaking










  • ½ cup vinegar










  • ½ cup hot water










  • ½ cup sugar










  1. Place the thinly sliced cucumbers and onions. Sprinkle on a lot of salt. Cover and let soak 2 hours. Rinse with cold water and drain very well.



  2. Pour over cucumbers the vinegar, hot water and sugar. Let marinate overnight.

This recipe is foolproof. Easy to prepare and goes wonderful with chicken and meat. This recipe can be adapted for Pesach very easily, just use cider vinegar instead of regular vinegar; I like to to use lemon juice instead of the vinegar. Very refreshing!
