Great, simple side dish. Can be served at any temperature. Great for Yom Tov or any day. If you don't want to cut up a whole head of cabbage you can use 1-2 bags of shredded.
1 head of red cabbage cored and shredded or diced
½ cup sugar or to taste
½ cup lemon juice
Put cabbage in large pot or saute pan. Sprinkle with sugar & lemon juice.
cover and cook over low flame till cabbage is soft. Taste & adjust sugar & lemon juice to your liking.
