INGREDIENTS













  • 4 lb French roast










  • 1 large onion, diced










  • 4 cloves garlic, minced










  • 3 Tbsp oil










  • ¼ cup wine vinegar










  • ½ cup water










  • ¾ cup brown sugar










  • ½ cup ketchup










  1. Place the onion and garlic with the oil. Bake in the oven on 200F until onions are golden brown.



  2. Add the roast.



  3. Mix the wine vinegar, water, brown sugar and ketchup together.



  4. Pour over the roast. Cover well.



  5. Bake at 350F for 3 hours.

This was so easy I was skeptical about the taste. It turned out delicious--there were no leftovers from a large roast. This is my new go to recipe for roasts.
