A stunning and mouthwatering halva coated recipe, these will not last very long. The presentation speaks for itself.
12 Chocolate chip cookies (like ostreichers)
1½ cup confectioners' sugar
¾ cup ground walnuts
½ cup ground coconut
⅓ cup peanut butter
1¼ stick margarine
½ cup chopped almonds
1 pk melted baking chocolate
Blend cookies in processor. Place in bowl, add all ingredients & mix until smooth. Form 1/2 the halva mixture into small hi-li size balls. With the other half, form smaller size balls. (you will have 2 sizes balls) . To form pear shapes, place smaller size ball on top of larger ball.
Pinch "waist" gently to form into pear shape. Freezer for 1 hour until solid frozen. Melt baking chocolate over double boiler in small pot. Dip each halva pear into chocolate, allowing excess to drip down.
Allow pears to cool on parchment lined cookie sheet. Using sharp knife, cut around the base of pear to remove excess chocolate. Poke tiny hole on top of each pear with toothpick, & insert tiny purchased leaf. Can be frozen in advance.
