INGREDIENTS













  • 2 cup dry green split peas










  • 10 cup water










  • 2 lrg. chopped carrots










  • 2 chopped celery ribs










  • 1 lrg. chopped onion










  • 1 pkg. beef neck bones










  • 1 bay leaf










  • 2 tsp beef soup mix (optional)










  • 1 tsp salt or to taste










  1. Rinse split peas and add to pot with water, boil. Add all other ingredients. Simmer for 2 hrs.



  2. Discard bay leaf. Remove bones from pot. When cooled, cut meat off bones into small pieces and return to soup.
