Basic yet delicious soup - very filling!
1 sweet potatoe
2 stalks celery
1 onion - diced
- salt, pepper, garlic powder, chicken soup mix
1 cup split peas (or more if you like thicker)
½ cup white navy beans
¼ cup pinhead barley
Saute onion, Grate all the vegetables besides for the celery. add to pot and saute for at least 1/2 hour.
In a seperate pot cook green and yellow split peas until soft.
When vegetable have sauteed for 1/2 hour add in water, spices, beans, barley and celery. Add in cooked split peas. Cook for 1-1 1/2 hours.
