This is a whole different chicken recipe, delicious and flavorful! You can cut up potatoes and place them under the chicken and let them cook in the sauce for a heavenly side dish. Or you can pour the extra sauce over rice, another yummy side! (You can use jellied or whole berry cranberry sauce. Personally, I think the whole berries add a nice touch).
4-6 chicken bottoms, skinned
1 (16 oz) can of cranberry sauce
¾ cup french dressing
6 Tbsp onion soup mix
3 Tbsp chili sauce (optional)
Remove skin from chicken and place in pan.
Mix all the sauce ingredients and pour 1/2 of sauce over chicken.
Let the chicken marinate in the sauce for a few hours
Preheat oven to 350*
Cover the chicken loosely with foil and bake for 70 minutes. Remove from oven, glaze the chicken with the rest of the sauce, and bake uncovered for another 20 min.
