These are the best fudgy brownies!
1 cup flour
2 cup sugar
¾ cup cocoa
1 Tbsp baking powder
4 large eggs
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
½ cup oil
1 cup walnuts (optional)
Mix all ingredients until blended.
Pour into greased 9” x 13” pan.
Bake at 325 degrees F. for 35 minutes.
Do NOT “test” brownies for doneness as they always test as raw! The 1st time I made brownies I thought they flopped and would've throw them out. Luckily I didn’t get around to doing it and later, after they'd cooled, I realized that they were perfect.Just make sure your oven temp. is correct!
A delicious and pretty variation is to spread the cooled brownies with green or pink mint buttercream, and then to drizzle or spread with melted semisweet chocolate.
Another flavor, like coffee, raspberry, orange or hazelnut could also be used.
