This fragrant rice lends a beautiful color to complement any dish.
2 Tbsp light olive oil
1 cup rice
2 cup boiling water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp turmeric
½ tsp garlic powder
- sprinkle of black pepper
Over a medium-high flame, heat olive oil and add in rice. Stir rice until about half are white and it smells like popcorn popping.
Add in the boiling water and spices.
Cover, bring back to boil, and immediately reduce fire to low so that it simmers.
Cook covered for about 20 minutes until all the water is absorbed, and the rice is fully cooked. Fluff with a fork.
