This side dish is always a hit, and is a little more festive then plain cabbage and bowties.

INGREDIENTS













  • 1 (1 lb) bag large bowtie lokshen










  • ½ lb pastrami cut into thin strips










  • 1 (16 oz) bag bodek coleslaw mix










  • 1 onion, diced










  • 1 Tbsp oil










  • ½ tsp salt










  • ½ tsp pepper










  • ¼ cup water










  1. Cook bowtie lokshen according to package instructions



  2. Sauté the diced onion in oil,



  3. Add bag of cole slaw mix and strips of pastrami.



  4. Add water and spices and let simmer until the cabbage is totally soft.



  5. Mix with bowties and enjoy! serve hot.
