Topic : Roizy's Famous Kokosh-dough

This question is for esteek or anyone who has made this recipe.

This recipe sounds, and looks great. I see from the comments listed that several people have made it. However, I am a little confused about the quantity of the dough to use for each cake. Obviously, with 5 pounds of flour, the recipe makes a lot of dough.

The confusing part is this: In Step 7 of the instructions it says it takes one quarter of the dough to make the cake in the photo. Then later, in Step 12, Tip 4, bakers are told that the dough can be made ahead & frozen, that Roizy bags up the dough in EIGHT ziplocs to be frozen, and that she takes only ONE bag out to make the cake every Friday. So my question is: How much dough does it really take to make one cake--one quarter of the dough or one eighth? Thanks for your time.

Please share your recipes that you make in the summer for supper. Recipes that are easy to prepare and nutritious that won't keep u long in the kitchen on hot days and the kids won't complain about. Myfavorites are grilled chicken with salad, pizza swirls w/ various fillings, fruit soups and smoothies. Can't wait to hear what's yours. Thanks for sharing!

sounds unreal but the result is real and outstanding! cooking for 12 hours at 200 degrees is like a slow-cooker/crockpot, resulting in extremely soft and tasty meat.

i love my silicone brush for basting my challah dough. all the other ones tend to flatten the dough but this one is light as a feather! try it, you'll see the difference right away.

What is mushroom dip? I never heard of it. Is it dairy? Do you have a picture of it?

yup. that's what actually happened quite a few times to me. I even had that I submitted a recipe & made some corrections soon afterwards. The recipe did not save & I got negative feedback on that.

This usually happens when it takes a long time to post it & it gets lost.

Hope you hae better luck next time !!!

I just spent quite a bit of time typing up a recipe and when I hit the submit button...poof...it was gone!
Do I really need to retype it?
Any ideas what went wrong?
