I don't know why, but I'm absolutely obsessed with photographing just about everything I cook

I hear you. But I've only become that way when I got my slr camera. My children are getting annoyed since they have to wait until I snap a picture before they can start eating. |

I love photographing my food! The problem is not my obsession. My sister-in-law calls me any time she makes something that she wants to post on to cookkosher to photography the food. So I have to always be on call. I am frustrated though because I use a canon g10 and don't have a detachable lens so I can't get a decent small aperture and get the classic blur on the background. I also seem to make all the good food at night and my only good source of light is daylight. |

I never thought about photographing food, but since I joined Cookkosher I definitely got the" picture taking business" going. Truth is, I always loved taking pictures of my children and I always have my camera ready- but now it's about the food. I am not that great at it, but I am working on it and thinking of different ways to present the food. I am open to any and all suggestions, so bring them on! |

As I am photographing the food, I find that food looks pretty in white dishes. Also I use a simple cannon camera, but when I hold the camera above the food, the picture comes out better than from the side view. Make sure the top of dish or rim is clean; after experimenting and taking some good shots, seeing the rim of plate saucy or messy , the picture wasn't worth much. Anyone else with ideas please post them. Thanks! |

I have a g11 -- u can get a macro lens for it! |

No, not nuts at all! Join the club. When I remember, I take pictures too. Love the complete look on the printed version of any recipe that I pass on. I take several shots from different angles (and lighting). Terrific when emailing new recipes to my out of town siblings ! |
