I do same as overtime cook, no measurements - I scoop a couple of spoons of mayo, guesstimating how much dressing I'll need because that's most of it. Then squirt in the honey and mustard, squirt squirt. Little sprinkles of salt and pepper, I'd say less than 1/4 teaspoon each, just a sprinkle (white pepper will look nicer, both will taste fine) Then mix it, taste it, and adjust - if it's too boring, more of everything. If it's too sharp, more honey. If it's too sweet, more mustard. Tada! Hard to go wrong with this one, even if something's a little more or less it's only the dressing so the salad flavor balances out for it and it'll usually just be fine. |
