I love inviting guests for Melava Malkas, especially when Motzai Shabbos is soooo long!!
It really depends how many guests you have, as to how wild you should get. I usually serve a selection of homemade rolls, such as white rolls, rolls made with a multi grain flour, onions croissants, garlic rolls and sundried tomato rolls. I make a variety of dips with it, tuna, egg, lox, cream cheese, avocado, hummus and pickles. Then I make a quiche such as the leak quiche Recipe #579, a pasta, and or a salmon recipe. Next to it I serve a selection of salads, first and foremost the grilled vegetable salad is always a winnerRecipe #391. For desert I usually make a cheese cake or cheese blintzes served a real chocolate hot cocoa!!! Have fun!! |
