I have a love and hate relationship with garlic. I love using garlic, but I hate peeling those cloves.
Then I saw Saveur magazines method of quickly peeling garlic using two bowls.
Just throw the crushed head of garlic in a bowl. Plastic didn't work for me, so go with metal bowls. Also you need a few cloves of garlic so that the friction causes it to peel itself.
Stick another bowl on top (preferable the same size, but hey that what I had.)
Shake, shake shake, holding the bowls tightly. I gave over the job to my pint size sous chef.
After a few seconds you should see that the cloves have completely shed its skin.
All ready for your next dish!
