The winner for the apron is... Goldfish. Email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to claim your prize.

With Chanukah approaching we can't wait to start sharing Chanukah ideas with you. But before we discuss latkes and doughnuts, we need to talk about a few things.

1. What kind of latkes do you fry?

Add your favorite latke recipe to CookKosher and on Monday of the week of Chanukah, we will choose one winner. The winner will receive a Loyal Order of the Latke apron from Jewnion Label. The design features potatoes, oil and onions with the slogans  "Fried and True" and "For the grater good"! It's a fun gift for the latke fryer in your family. After you add your latke recipe, just leave us a comment on this post.

2. Get featured!

Add any Chanukah-related recipe to CookKosher and we'll featured some of the best in an upcoming blog post with our favorite Chanukah recipes. If you add a photo, you'll have a better chance to be featured. Hurry up and add those recipes, as Chanukah is coming...

3. Food blogger?

Latkes or not, if you are a kosher food blogger we want to read YOUR blog. Leave us a comment with your blog's name and address so that we can add it to the sites we like. We love food bloggers. They cook and photograph food. What's not to love?

Chanukah cookies are always a favorite. This is a great recipe to make with the kids on Chanukah when they are off from school. It is a basic sugar cookie recipe and you can create any shape-(dreidel,menorah..) Get some cookie shapes, decorate them and have fun. Posting my recipe!

Hi. My name is Hindy. My blog's name is "Confident Cook, Hesitant Baker. I blog at www.hindycooks.blogspot.com.

I try to make a new kind of latke each year in addition to the standard potato latke. Last year I did a sweet potato curry latke. The year before I did a lemon rosemary potato latke. Always fun to experiment.
