Purple and White Salad

The salad is a great gift when you're invited to someone for a meal or when sending over food for a simcha.

It's easy, delicious and looks really beautiful.

Start with a trifle bowl or any clear salad bowl. Place the shredded cabbage, and layer the romaine lettuce leaves on top. Pour the dressing right over the lettuce.

Use any tortilla chips you have. Barbeque flavor is fun addition, but any flavor will taste great. Crush it while it's in the bag, so you have less of a mess.

Using skewers (straws or knife) as guidance. Place the topping over the top, alternating purple and white colors. Craisins, almonds, purple onion, tortilla chips.... Repeat. Remove the skewers.

All done! Really quick and looks like you put in a lot of work.

WOW! Love this idea. I will be preparing this salad for sure and I will also use the idea of skewers to make an interesting fruit trifle. Thank you so much.
