Tisha B'Av, the 9th day of the month of Av, is an annual fast day. The fast commemorates the destruction of both the First Temple and Second Temple in Jerusalem. Many other terrible tragedies occurred on this day. Both the Jewish expulsion from Spain in 1492 and the beginning of World War I started on the Tisha B'Av. Accordingly it is the saddest day in the Jewish calendar.
However, we still need to eat before and after the fast and we live to serve.
Some of our picks for before or after the fast:
Tomato & Garlic Scrambled Eggs
Vegetable and cheese filled pasta shells
Easy, quick and yummy Shakshuka
