
Whenever i make this pie, I have people looking for a price tag or some other sign that it was actually bought! It looks gorgeous and professional, yet something "grandma" would be proud of! YUM!

INGREDIENTS
1 cup margarine (2 sticks)
3 cup flour
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
1 (20 oz) can cherry pie filling
1 pinch cinnamon (optional)
Mix all ingredients together by hand. If dough is too sticky add more flour at any time.
Pat about half the dough into a 9 inch round bekala/dish. Roll the other half out and cut into about 1 inch strips.
Pour 1/4 of the cherry pie filling onto the crust. Fill the can that contains the rest of the filling with hot water, mix, and pour over crust as well. Sprinkle cinnamon over if you wish.
Now the fun starts! Carefully place the strips of dough on top of the pie, around 1 1/2 inches apart, and then repeat the other way to achieve the latticed look. bake for around 1 hour. MMMMMM.... serve warm, room temperature, or cold!!!
