Easy dessert. A welcome change from the typical cake.
1 cup margarine
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg yolk
1 tsp vanilla
2 cup flour
¼ tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips
½ cup chopped nuts
Mix margarine, brown sugar, egg yolk and vanilla.
Add flour and salt. Stir until well blended. Spread into 13 x10 pan. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350. (Or in a 9x13 pan for 25-30 minutes at 350.)
Crust wil be soft. Remove from oven. Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top and let stand until soft. Spread over crust. Sprinkle with nuts. Cut into small squares while warm.
