A real easy recipe to prepare in the morning and serve for dinner.
2 cup chopped carrots (can use baby carrots)
1½ cup dried lentils
2 lb bonless, skinless chicken breast
2 Tbsp minced garlic
¾ tsp salt
¾ tsp tumeric
½ tsp ground cayenne
½ tsp cinnamon
4 cup chicken broth (can use vegetable)
Place all ingredients in the order listed in crockpot. (if you dont have only chicken breast, i usually use cut up chicken, just remove the skin and keep the bones. they add more flavor :) )
Cover and cook on high for 1 hour, then reduce to low and cook 7 more hours. OR cook on high for 5 hours.
Serve on a bed of rice.
