This recipe works well for the fish course on Shabbos. It's especially handy when you're in a pinch without a gefilte fish roll on hand. I almost always have all of these ingredients on hand.

INGREDIENTS













  • 2 cans tuna










  • ½ onion, diced finely










  • 2 Tbsp curry powder










  • 1 cup mayonnaise










  • 1 lime, juice only










  • 2 Tbsp mango chutney










  • 0 various additions, see below










  1. Saute onion in a little oil until translucent. Add the curry powder and cook briefly, stirring constantly. Set aside pan and allow to cool slightly.



  2. After cooling, stir in mayonnaise, lime juice, and chutney. Stir to combine. Drain tuna. Add tuna to curried mayonnaise along with preferred tuna salad additions such as: hard-boiled eggs, scallions, celery, and raisins. Stir gently to combine and refrigerate until serving.
