These cookies are just plain good. I made them white chocolate candy cane cookies with chopped peppermint hershey’s kisses for our upcoming work holiday party, but they would be good with so many other things. Think almonds, dried cherries or cranberries, maybe oreo cookie chunks. This can be parve or dairy, depending on what you choose, and won't last long!

INGREDIENTS













  • ½ cup butter or margarine










  • ¾ cup brown sugar










  • 1 cup white chocolate, melted (chips or a bar)










  • 1 tsp vanilla, or flavoring of your choice (like mint)










  • 1 egg










  • ½ tsp salt










  • ¾ tsp baking soda










  • 2 cup flour










  • 1 cup chunks (nuts, dried fruit, candy, whatever sounds good!)










  1. Preheat oven to 350F.



  2. Cream butter and sugar while you’re melting the chocolate.



  3. Add in egg, extract(s), and then chocolate, beating well after each.



  4. Add in dry ingredients and mix



  5. Last, add your chunks.



  6. Form into balls about the size of walnuts and put on an ungreased baking sheet to bake for 7-8 minutes until just beginning to be light brown around the edges.



  7. Let cool a few minutes on the sheet, then remove to a rack to finish cooling.
