I have made this recipe almost every week since I figured out how to do it. Careful with the caramel- the first time you are doing it, watch it like a hawk, since it only takes a second to burn!

INGREDIENTS













  • 1 cup White Sugar










  • 1 Tbsp Water










  • ¼ cup marg or butter










  • ½ cup cream, half and half or cashew cream










  • 1 tsp sea salt










  • ½ cup marg or butter again










  • 3-4 cup powdered sugar










  1. Make caramel by melting sugar with water, then bringing to low simmer until liquid turns brown.



  2. Immediately take caramel off stovetop when light brown, then stir in 1/4 cup marg or butter and cream



  3. When this cools, add sea salt, marg, and powdered sugar into mixing bowl and mix until well incorporated. Try not to eat the whole thing before you fronst the cake! Adapted from mykitchenaddiction.com
