White beans and garlic. My parents had this on a cruise and loved it so much, they asked the chef for the recipe.
15 oz white beans (cannellini)
8 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped
2 oz butter or margarine
1 Tbsp parsley
2 Tbsp lemon juice
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp fresh-ground black pepper
Drain beans, rinse thoroughly, and drain again.
Melt butter or margarine over medium heat in a skillet; saute garlic for 2 minutes.
Add beans, stirring constantly for 2 minutes more.
Add remaining ingredients, stir, remove from heat, and serve.
