delicious homemade granola goes great with yogurt, fruit, etc. add other dried fruits or nuts for a new taste
6 cup traditional rolled oats (not quick oats)
2 Tbsp cinnamon
1 cup butter
1 cup honey or brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
6 cup unsalted nuts of your choice
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Warm oil, honey and vanilla in a large pan in the oven. When liquid mixture is warm and thinned, begin adding dry ingredients directly to the pan. Stir with wooden spoon as each dry ingredient is added.
Bake approximately 2 hours, stirring every 20 minutes
Can add up to 2 cups dried fruit when cool. Makes about 14 cups.
