The absolute best tasting, finger licking, easiest, no fuss recipe ever. Always a hit with famly and guests. Any cut of meat works well. I used flanken meat with bones, since this is my family's favorite. It tastes great with spare ribs too. I like to serve this Friday night or for special occasions.

INGREDIENTS













  • 6-8 pieces flanken meat with bones










  • 1 large onion










  • - salt and pepper to taste










  • 1 cup meat juice










  • 1 cup ketchup










  • 1 cup brown sugar










  1. Slice onion and put on bottom of roaster pan. Place meat on top. Season with salt and pepper. Cover tightly and bake for 2 1/2 hours on 350.



  2. Remove meat from pan, discard onions. Strain 1 cup of juice from the meat pan. Mix this in bowl with the ketchup and brown sugar until smooth and saucy.



  3. Place meat in a clean roasting pan. Pour the sauce mixture over the meat. Cover and bake for another 20 minutes. Uncover and continue baking for 10 minutes. This freezes very well.

This is the tried and true combination of brown sugar, ketchup and meat. I use it on all sorts of meat and it is great!

I tried this one for shabbos on my mini steaks & spare ribs and it was insanely good. Everyone wanted seconds!

I really like this recipe, it is so easy and can be done with so many other meats as well. I tried it on minute stake and it was delicious.
