INGREDIENTS













  • 1 cup water










  • 1 cup vinegar










  • 1 cup sugar










  • 1 onion










  • ¼ cup sugar










  • ½ cup water










  • ½ cup mayonnaise










  • ½ cup ketchup










  • ½ cup vinegar










  • 6 slices of salmon










  • 6 bay leaves










  1. Boil the water, vinegar, sugar and onion in a pot.



  2. Add the salmon and add a bay leaf per slice. Lower the flame and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from flame and place in a container.



  3. Combine the smaller amounts of sugar, water, mayonnaise, ketchup and vinegar. Pour this sauce over the fish.



  4. Allow the fish to marinate over night before serving.
