Sounds weird, right? That's what my entire extended family said when I offered to make this recipe for the family Chanuka party. Well, guess what? There wasn't a single noodle left to take home at the end of the night. Not so weird after all.

INGREDIENTS













  • 2 sweet potatoes










  • - water, to cook potatoes










  • 1 oz butter










  • 2 tsp flour










  • 2 cup milk










  • ½ cup heavy cream










  • 1 lb package of pasta, cooked










  • 1 cup shredded cheese










  1. Peel and slice the sweet potatoes and cook them in water. Once finished, drain the water and mash the sweet potatoes.



  2. In a sauce pan, melt together the butter and flour until golden in color.



  3. Then add the milk and heavy cream. Simmer until the sauce is thick.



  4. Add in the mashed sweet potatoes and keep the sauce on the flame for 5 more minutes.



  5. Pour the sauce over cooked pasta and toss with shredded cheese.
