
My husband ate these while drunk one Purim afternoon. When he came to he kept asking me for more of those pretzels. I had no idea what he was talking about or where he ate these "delicious pretzels." I asked around for a few weeks until one neighbor confessed to serving these. Now these are a staple around here.

INGREDIENTS
1 oz yeast
1½ cup warm water
2 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
4 cup flour
1 eggs (for brushing)
1 course salt (for sprinkling)
Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
Allow the dough to "rest" for 1/2 hour.
Divide the dough to 8 equal parts. Roll the dough into a long rope and form a pretzel. Repeat with remaining dough.
Brush the egg on top of the pretzels and sprinkle with course salt.
Bake at 425* for 10 minutes.
