This is delicious and so easy to make. Why buy expensive ready prepared take out liver?
You can use chicken or beef liver, depending on your preference.
Pictured is sautéed beef liver before adding eggs and chopping it.(the liver is not actually sautéed, it is mixed with sautéed onions) I add eggs to half and chop it and the remainder will be served as is.
3 large onions
2 Tbsp oil
1 tsp salt
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp black pepper
1 pkg. broiled liver (beef or chicken)
3 hard eggs - for chopped liver
Thinly slice onions (can use a food processor) and place into skillet with a cover.
Add oil and spices and cook covered on low flame until onions are soft and mushy. Remove from heat and let cool
Prepare beef liver by cutting into small pieces. Chicken liver may be left whole or cut in half. Refrigerate and enjoy
For chopped liver;
Add hard eggs and grind with a hand blender.
