INGREDIENTS













  • 1 nonstick cooking spray










  • 3 quarts of popped popcorn










  • 3 cup unsalted mixed nuts (optional)










  • 1 cup brown sugar










  • ½ cup karo corn syrup (light or dark)










  • ½ cup margarine










  • ½ tsp salt










  • ½ tsp vanilla










  • ½ tsp baking soda










  1. Spray roasting pan with cooking spray. Combine popcorn and nuts in pan. Place in 300℉ oven while preparing glaze.



  2. In heavy 2-quart saucepan, stir brown sugar, corn syrup, margarine and salt.



  3. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil over medium heat. Without stirring, boil for 5 minutes.



  4. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and baking soda.



  5. Pour over warm popcorn, stirring to coat well.



  6. Bake at 300℉ for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.



  7. Allow to cool and break apart before serving.
