These whole-wheat muffins are absolutely delicious- you would hardly believe they are whole-wheat. They are hardy muffins; good for breakfst or a filling snack. That's why we used to make these in seminary all the time- hence the name! They are really quite simple to make.

INGREDIENTS













  • 1 cup oatmeal










  • 3 cup whole wheat flour










  • 1 tsp baking soda










  • 2½ tsp baking powder










  • ¾ tsp salt










  • 2½ tsp vanilla sugar










  • 3 eggs










  • ⅔ cup oil










  • 1⅔ cup apple sauce










  • 1⅔ cup light brown sugar










  • 3½ tsp cinnamon










  • 1 package of black or white chocolate chips










  1. Mix all ingriedents together in a large bowl.



  2. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 30 minutes.

These muffins are so good I make them all the time! I even cut down the sugar to 1 cup (or less) and they are still amazing. I also substitute the choc chips with chopped pecans...YUM!

These were SUPER easy to make! No equipment needed beyond a large bowl and spoon!

Quite dense, but very tasty. May lower the cinnamon amount next time - but still perfect!

Loved the recipe and loved how they tasted! I've tried many recipes with whole wheat flour and never liked how they tasted, but this one is a real winner. Terrific!!!!!!

This recipe is out of this world! First whole wheat recipe I've made that came out so good.

These are the very best muffins I ever baked. I made 100 pieces for a carnival; I couldn't believe how easy they were to prepare. They were eaten up so quickly and I got tons of compliments and girls were begging for more. I will definitely be baking this again. Everyone MUST try this recipe.
